Finished! Looks like this project is out of data at the moment!
Thank you for your efforts! We've completed the classification stage for this project! To browse other active projects that still need your classifications, check out zooniverse.org/projects.
Alex Andersson - PhD student, University of Oxford
Alex is a graduate student studying transient and variable radio phenomena using the MeerKAT telescope. He wants to harness the power of citizen science and machine learning to unveil new and interesting frontiers in radio astronomy. When he's not doing that, Alex enjoys hiking and takes care of his growing collection of plants.
Chris Lintott - Astronomer, University of Oxford
Chris is in charge of the Zooniverse project as a whole and works a lot on galaxies, planet hunting and anomaly detection. He also presents on the Sky at Night and is a long suffering standing Torquay United fan.
Rob Fender - Astronomer, University of Oxford & University of Cape Town
Rob is co-lead on the ThunderKAT Large Survey Project on the MeerKAT telescope - where we get all our data. He works on transient and variable radio astronomy, especially on the understanding of X-ray binaries and the links between accretion and jet formation.
Lauren Rhodes - PhD student, University of Oxford
Lauren is a final year graduate student who also works on radio phenomena with MeerKAT. Her work primarily focuses on finding and analysing the glowing remnants of supernovae and the debris following collisions between neutron stars (known as Gamma Ray Bursts - GRBs). When she's not investigating the explosive universe, Lauren likes to explore the coffee scene and goes rock climbing.
The ThunderKAT Team - all of our work is aided by the ThunderKAT team who have worked tirelessly to schedule the telescope, make observations and reduce our data.
