Where are these photos from?
All of the images you see were downloaded from iNaturalist.com!

What if I make a mistake?
Multiple people will be working on the same image, so don't worry if you make a mistake! We will use the most common response to determine the final pollen color we assign to each image.
Why is a human crowd needed to do this?
There are over 100,000 images available on iNaturalist that we want to classify for pollen color. We have been able to classify one species, Geranium maculatum, on our own, but to look at over 300 species, we need all hands on deck! We also want the world to be able to see what we do. We're excited to have you as a part of our team. If you have any questions or curiosities, do not hesitate to reach out to us on the talk boards!
How can I tell what species I am classifying?
If you press the "i" button at the bottom of the image, all of the images have the genus and species name provided as well as a link to the original image from iNaturalist!
