Dear Volunteers,

We expect to have the new batch of metadata and data files live this evening. In the meantime, please find lists below of which stations are located in which folders, in case you have a preference of location to digitise.

Thanks for your continued and important work on this project.
Ciara and Rhonda.

Data Folders

17th May 2026
Dear Volunteers,

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this project. Thanks to you we have successfully digitised data and metadata from 1951 back to 1920.

We are busy preparing data from the 1910s and will upload that within the next few days. We will send an email out when this is ready which you will receive if you have signed up to email alerts from this project (we send them approximately once every 3 months or so, when new batches of data are uploaded).

Thanks again,
Ciara and Rhonda.

Dear Volunteers,

Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication on this project. As we were coming to the very end of our double batch of 1940s and 1930s data, we have gone ahead and uploaded the 1920s data and metadata sheets. There are still some 1930s data sheets left in the Leinster Data folder, as soon as these are complete we can get some updates to you on these decades.

Dear volunteers,

Thank you for your incredible work digitising Ireland’s historical rainfall records. It is progressing quickly, and we have nearly run out of metadata files.

We are excited to be launching as an official Zooniverse project next week. To prepare for this, and to provide more metadata sheets, we are now uploading data from the 1930s. This means you will be able to digitise data from the 1940s or the 1930s for the next while.
We hope you enjoy taking part in this project.

Ciara and Rhonda.
