This project requires a computer / laptop / tablet, it is not suitable for mobile phones.
We successfully ran a pilot project to test the parameters of the project from September to December with three groups of university students from Maynooth University, Dublin City University and the National College of Art and Design.
In March 2025, Met Éireann became an official Gaisce Challenge Partner.
Gaisce – The President’s Award is Ireland’s national youth award and personal development programme for young people aged 14-25. It is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland to all young people to dream big and realise their potential.
Participants can take on the Irish Weather Rescue with Met Éireann project for their Bronze Award and make a significant contribution to climate research in their local areas for their Community Involvement Challenge Area.
