The Team

Kate Cornelsen
PhD Candidate, Centre for Ecosystem Science, University of New South Wales

I am currently completing a PhD project, studying the greater bilby in our semi-wild sanctuary at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. From my research I hope to better understand the behaviour and ecology of the bilby, and contribute to the conservation of this threatened species. I have broad interests in the conservation of Australia's threatened species, with experience working on various reintroduction projects in Australia, and have a keen interest in animal behaviour, and applied conservation research.

Dr Neil Jordan

Conservation Biologist, Taronga Conservation Society Australia

I have broad research interests across behavioural ecology, from meerkats to African wild dogs, with much of my work focused on scent communication in wild carnivores in particular. I am most interested in and motivated by applying animal behaviour to conservation management, particularly in understanding and resolving human-wildlife conflicts.
