During the turn of the year, our volunteers have been busy transcribing the cards. The second set (5000) of images in the Additional Info workflow has now been transcribed! We only have some 4,000+ Nature of Specimen images to transcribe after which we need to wait for new scans from the museum.
The second set (5000) of images in the Specimen Numbers workflow has now been transcribed! Before we can resume this workflow, the museum staff needs to scan new accession cards.
We have now added 5000 new images to the Nature of Specimen and Additional Info workflows.
The second set (5000) of images in the Specimen Taxonomy (Latin names) workflow has now been transcribed! We now have 9,746 transcriptions ready for our museum staff who will start checking these entries. Excellent work from our volunteers!

After the first week, we now have over 50,000 classifications and over 1,000 volunteers. The project is progressing smoothly and we are expecting the Specimen Numbers workflow finishing in a few days.

250 test scans were selected for the Zooniverse beta testing. Also, three workflows out of six were selected for the test: Specimen Numbers, Nature of Specimen, and Additional Info.
