The Team

Sean Keogh, Ph.D.


Sean was the Collection Manager of Invertebrate Zoology at the Field Museum from 2023-2025 and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. His research uses CT-scanning and genomic sequencing to understand the evolution of molluscan morphology. Outside the museum he enjoys riding his bike and canoeing. Caryn Stein


Caryn is a volunteer at the Field Museum, helping the collections team digitize and make crucial species data available for students and scientists around the world. As a Master Naturalist, Caryn has previously volunteered for the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and the National Park Service.

Santina Celli


Santina was a Women in Science Intern at the Field Museum during the summer of 2025. She is a junior at Miami University, studying Biology, Environmental Science, and GIS, and is a research assistant in a freshwater ecology lab, studying the Purple Lilliput (Toxolasma lividum) freshwater mussel. When she is not studying, you can find her working or practicing at an ice rink.

Ariana Ramos


Ariana was a Women in Science intern at the Field Museum during the summer 2025 and currently a freshman at Middlebury College. Outside of the museum, she spends her time finding new bakeries to frequent.

John D'Angelo


John is the Collections Assistant within Invertebrate Zoology. John's day-to-day work within the museum is focused on digitizing the collection. Although John's profession is focused on invertebrate zoology, he is also an avid birder and studies sauropod dinosaurs in his free time.

Mariana De Alba


Mariana was a Behind-the-Scenes Teen Volunteer and Project Tester at the Field Museum in the summer of 2025. She is currently a freshman at Northwestern University. Outside the museum, she spends her time reading, frequenting coffee shops, and finding new recipes to bake.

Liam Gallaga


Liam was a Behind-the-Scenes Teen Volunteer and Project Tester at the Field Museum in the summer of 2025 and is currently a freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside the museum, he spends his time playing video games and reading.
