Great progress being made with one workflow, Catalogue Number, completely finished!! @ï
Also, this project recently migrated onto Zooniverse’s new architecture. For details, see here.
Can my students participate in Snail Scribe Archive?
Absolutely! Students of all ages are encouraged to participate in transcribing these mollusk biodiversity records. Some workflows are inherently more difficult and we recommend starting younger students on the 'Specimen Count' workflow. The 'Object' and 'Locality' workflows are the trickiest and thus best for older students.
What resources are there for teachers and students to learn more about digitization of natural history collections?
There are several good youtube videos from The Natural History Museum in London and the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History that are great resources on the power and utility of natural history collections. Additionally, teachers are welcome to contact Snail Scribe Archive team members Sean Keogh if they want more information.
For molluscan specific educational opportunities check out the Molluscan Science Foundation.
Where can I read about updates and results from Snail Scribe Archive?
We will use the 'Talk' tab and 'Results' section under the 'About' tab to send volunteers project updates.
