Greetings fellow fans of exoplanets! In case you are wondering what the Planet Patrol project has been up to lately, check out the brand new Planet Patrol ESRI Dashboard! The Dashboard allows you to follow our vetting process live.

Note that the Dashboard promotes a better experience in a computer web browser. In smartphones or tablets, we recommended trying to access the two maps used in Dashboard by the Planet Patrol Web Apps (3D View at https://arcg.is/iLK4j0, 2D View at https://arcg.is/1ezvmL0).

Here is a snapshot of the Dashboard as of April 30, 2021:

With this dashboard, you can discover, in 3D and 2D view, new stars and objects that represent a detected planet candidate in TESS data, and click to view in detail the coordinates, dimensions, and characteristics of each one of these stars. The Planet Patrol Dashboard allows you to visualize the positions of the TESS instrument in the image acquisition of more than a million stars with candidate planets orbiting them, called "transiting exoplanets". The data are projected in celestial coordinates (J2000).

The Dashboard was created by our citizen scientist Lucas Terres de Lima. If you are interested in learning more about this, you can contact Lucas at lucasterres@ua.pt.
