## I don't know a herring from other fish. Is that ok? ##
Yes! Almost everything is a herring, and you'll soon know what they look like. If you're not sure what it is, and it's small like a herring, go ahead and mark it. If you're certain it is not a herring, then don't mark it. 

## In the nighttime images, there are some really faint objects. Should I mark them? ##
Yes! Mark everything in the night images that have any slight difference from the pitch-black background. Or if you are using the "invert image" feature (which can make things stand out more), the fish will be darker than the white background. Check out the tutorial for the nighttime marking for more detail.

Count baby river herring as they head to sea!

Mark all the fish you see. Pretty much everything is a herring, so you'll want to mark them all unless something really stands out as not being a herring or floating along the surface. You just need to put a point on each fish. It's that simple! Happy marking!
