How many kinds of viruses are there?
The short answer is: nobody knows! We do know that viruses outnumber absolutely every living thing on the planet, so there are probably multiple kinds of viruses for each species.

Can we use this to cure diseases?
From these images we cannot tell what the host organism is for a particular virus. Even after we find out, it takes a lot more research to get to the point where a treatment can be used in people. But there are some recent success stories on using bacteriophage to cure infections.
