Today we are starting with a small collection of Oliver Hart Papers, 1741 - 1961 .

Thank you Beta Testers
In July 2026, volunteers beta tested USC Transcribes Together and provided valuable feedback about the transcription experience. Testers overwhelmingly found the project goals, instructions, and Tutorial understandable and clear. They also recommended clearer guidance for multi-page documents, additional handwriting and abbreviation examples, and closer review of difficult-to-read images. We are making these improvements before the public launch.

Next Steps
Once this project is launched, each document will be transcribed by multiple volunteers. USC Libraries staff will review and reconcile the volunteer transcriptions before approved text is added to USC Digital Collections. The completed transcriptions will appear alongside the original manuscript images, making the documents easier to read, search, teach with, and study.

Can't wait to share with our Zooniverse volunteers the results as we add your transcriptions to this collection.
