The Team
This project is a Citizen Science initiative in which participants are responsible for collecting the data under investigation. In this sense, the majority of the work is carried out by the public.
The project is coordinated by the Belgian NGO RiverCleanup (www.river-cleanup.be) and VITO, the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (www.vito.be). These organizations oversee the campaigns and provide the necessary technological infrastructure to ensure that the results are scientifically robust and statistically valid.
