How to get an overview of the project?
Welcome, glad you made it. This is a Native Skywatchers project for everyone who shows up. You can check out the research project that you will be helping with, "Turtle Island Skywatchers - MN Research and Data Visualization".
How to get started classifying data?
To start classifying data, just use the Tutorial and the Field Guide to understand the setup. Then pick a Workflow (for example, a specific bird). You will hear a 3-5-second acoustic recording and see the spectrogram.
What to do if I am not sure about a response?
Use the link at the bottom of the page in the Field Guide to see Peterson's guide if you need more examples. There are lots of variations.
What if there are several birds in the same recording?
This is common ... just focus on the main bird in the Workflow (i.e., the one in question).
Feel free to use "Done & Talk" if you want to let us know about the other birds in the recording.
