Finished! Looks like this project is out of data at the moment!
Welcome! This project recently migrated onto Zooniverse’s new architecture. For details, see here.
Rebekah joined Enonkishu Conservancy in June 2017 as the manager. With a background in animal behavior and conservation biology, she has been working towards establishing consistent collection of wildlife, livestock, and biological data to investigate the effectiveness of coexistence between livestock and wildlife.
Albert joined Enonkishu in July 2018 as a ranger and data manager. While all rangers are responsible for checking the status of camera traps at least twice a week, Albert has been tasked with responding to cases of malfunction or maintaining the camera traps and data sheets.
Francis has been a ranger within Enonkishu since its inception in 2010. He is now a trained corporal and ensures all camera traps are checked on at least twice a week, with each block being assigned to a ranger who knows it is their responsibility to ensure the traps remain active.
All rangers employed by Enonkishu are engaged in the success of the Snapshot Enonkishu program. They take a great deal of pride in the camera trap study and have spent numerous days informing employees, herders, and community members about the purpose of the camera trap study and the goals it hopes to achieve. The publicity has mainly been to prevent tampering, but has served an alternative motive of educating the community about the positive changes in regards to wildlife in Enonkishu.
