Timothy R. Johnson (Co-Principal Investigator)
Morse Alumni Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Law at the University of Minnesota. Johnson has 20 years of experience analyzing and researching the U.S. Supreme Court. He has won six National Science Foundation grants to support his work. In addition, he has published 4 books and nearly 40 articles on topics related to the Supreme Court and American politics.

Ryan C. Black (Co-Principal Investigator)
Associate Professor in the Political Science Department at Michigan State University. Black's research and teaching focus on the U.S. Supreme Court. He has published 3 books and nearly 50 articles or book chapters on topics related to the Supreme Court and American politics.
