Meet Team ECOTONE!

Our project is affiliated with the Young Lab in the department of Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology at the University of California Santa Barbara and with the Nature Conservancy, specifically the staff at the Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve.

Our lead scientist is PhD candidate Zoe Zilz, who is interested in coastal ecosystems, disease ecology, and food web networks. Our research technicians are UC Santa Barbara undergraduate students Maddie Elkin, Lizzie Wu, and Max Crawford. Our research dog is Juniper the blue heeler!
