The Team

The Content-based Object Summarization to Monitor Infrequent Change (COSMIC) team is a part of the JPL Machine Learning and Instrument Autonomy group. We employ machine learning methods in support of scientific investigations and space exploration.

Kiri Wagstaff conducts research in active learning, unsupervised discovery methods, interpretable machine learning, and onboard science for spacecraft. Her background is in Machine Learning, Geology, Planetary Science, and Library Science. She is also an airplane pilot.
