Welcome! This project recently migrated onto Zooniverse’s new architecture. For details, see here.
With your help, we are building a biodiversity monitoring system across Europe's main biogeographical regions, including natural areas such as Doñana National Park (Spain), Tatra National Park (Poland), Indre Østfold (Norway) and Oder River Valley (Germany/Poland)
Learn moreWe have different workflows, each one representing a distinct study area in Europe. In each workflow, you’ll find camera trap images that you’ll be asked to classify into one of different categories we provide. Don’t worry — throughout the classification process, you’ll have access to a TUTORIAL and a FIELD GUIDE that you can consult at any time. Our focus is mostly on mammals.

With your help, we will develop a wildlife monitoring system across Europe to support biodiversity conservation
European Camera Trap ProjectWe aim to develop a coordinated monitoring system in Europe using camera trapping and citizen science. We are part of WildINTEL, a project funded by the Biodiversa+. We promote monitoring of biodiversity changes across space and time. We also analyse species abundance, distribution, reproductive rates and community composition, in response to the ongoing global change. Our project will help to optimize the use of existing biodiversity data by integrating camera-trap projects from multiple European ecosystems.
