Thank you to everyone who participated in this project! 😃 The team is now busy analysing this data for our module in the UCL MSc Data Science for Cultural Heritage programme.
The earliest use of the comb can be traced to as far back as 5,000 years ago. Over time and across cultures, combs have evolved through different shapes, materials, and decoration styles. For this project, images of combs have been compiled from the digital collections of museums around the world. By gathering opinions from the crowd, this project aims to understand the impact of variables such as age and level of degradation on the perceived value of a comb. Help us collect more data and share your valuable opinions!
Please only participate in this project if you are 18+ years old. By participating, you consent to this data being used in a student research project for the University College London (UCL) MSc Data Science for Cultural Heritage programme.
