FAQ

Can I pick the photographs I identify?
The photographs will be shown in a random order. If you cannot provide any information about a photograph, select "Next" until a new photograph is displayed. If you are logged in to your account, you will not see the same photograph twice.

I saw a photograph that I would like to save or share with others. How can I do that?
If Zooniverse presents you with a photograph that you would like to save, select Information under the photograph. This will provide you with the identifier used for the photograph by the Center for Research Libraries. You can use this identifier to find the image through the Digital Delivery System. You can also use the Favorite feature to save images through Zooniverse. The selected images will be gathered into a collection. From the Favorites page, you can use the Information feature to access the identifiers, and then use those identifiers in the Digital Delivery System. Please use the Talk boards if you have any questions about these features. We have provided videos and step-by-step instructions there.

Where can I find the complete Sajjad Zaheer archive?
The Sajjad Zaheer archive is more fully described and explorable through the University of Texas' Sajjad Zaheer Archive webpage. The entire archive is preserved and available at the Center for Research Libraries.

Can I go back and fix a mistake?
Once you select "Done," your identifications will be submitted and you will not be able to make any changes. Each image will be viewed by multiple volunteers to help identify as many people, places, and dates as possible. We will look at all the data together, so we will be able to discard outlying data.

What if I have more questions?
Please submit any questions to zaheerarchive@utlists.utexas.edu. We are happy to answer any questions about the project!
