Saving species from extinction requires more than scientific knowledge and expertise. It requires a concerted effort from the public!
Large mammals play crucial roles in maintaining the unique nature of Lopé National Park's forest-savannah mosaic. However, they are understudied and are faced with threats which are prevalent around the forest edge of this transitional landscape.
We want to estimate large mammal population around the forest edge and understand their interaction with the landscape. Results from this study will be used to inform effective conservation interventions.
