With your help, we can learn more about Mars' past.
Planet Four: RidgesPlanetary scientists have found evidence that warm ground waters may have flowed through the ancient Martian crust. Sometimes these waters can fill fracture networks with deposits of interesting minerals. Slow and steady wind erosion can expose these mineral-filled fractures as networks of intersecting ridges. We would like your help to map polygonal, spider-web-like ridge patterns in images from the Context Camera aboard Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter to help us learn more about the Martian past.
