Madelaine Empey - New Brunswick Museum Biodiversity and Global Change Scientist

Madelaine has recently completed her PhD in Biology, specializing in frog ecotoxicology. She now works at the museum to digitize museum collections and make them publicly accessible for research, public engagement, and ecosystem conservation. Her other passions include kayaking and looking under rocks for critters.

Greg Jongsma - New Brunswick Museum Curator of Zoology

Greg's specialty is African amphibian evolution and biogeography. He has been involved with museums for over a decade and is committed to advancing the digitization of collections for species conservation. Greg digs live music and cool, unique sweaters.

Julie Allen - Virginia Tech

Julie Allen is an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech. She is a bioinformatician and evolutionary biologist. She uses museum specimens to understand how organisms have changed over time. She also co-leads Notes from Nature.

Michael Denslow - Notes from Nature

Michael is the Project Coordinator for Notes from Nature. His work focuses on digitization, mobilization, and use of biodiversity data.
