Massive thanks to all volunteers - you completed all the currently available workflows
We'll be back with more work and results soon
Thanks for all the great work so far
Here are some intitial results for the air presure and sunshine values that were collected by our volunteers
Air pressure was recorded at set times daily and we have complete daily values from 0700, 1300 and 1800 hrs from 1915 to 1930 for the air pressure@mean sea level
This amount of data has almost doubled the amount of records previously held in our database as shown in the chart below.
Prior to collecting data for Eskdalemuir most sites only had a single value for air pressure for each day - that's the difference citizen science projects can make as large amounts of data can be collected in a short period of time
The extra data from Eskdalemuir is a small addition to the existing sites The map below shows the paucity of sites with air pressure records that existed during the start of the period whilst the previous graph showed the number of sites over the whole period
33 years of daily sunshine values have now been added to the database ,a small amount is still being data entered but overall there will soon be a continuous 110 year record of sunshine values for the site
The map below shows the sites recording sunshine in the region over the same period which are already in our database- Eskdalemuir site is shown by the red dot.
A lot more sites recording sunshine than air pressure but none the less important to our records
