The Team
 | Dr Jake Snaddon is a Lecturer in Environmental Sciences at the University of Southampton. Jake has extensive experience working in the tropical forests of Belize, with research focussing on ecology, biodiversity, and the conservation of biological resources. | |||
 | Professor C. Patrick Doncaster is Professor of Ecology at the University of Southampton. Patrick's research interests include wildlife corridors and species conservation, and he has experience implementing wildlife corridors for large mammals in Belize. | |||
 | Dr Evelyn Piña Covarrubias is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Southampton, specialising in acoustic ecology in the Neotropics. Evelyn has technical expertise in deployment of the acoustic sensors, and leads field work in Belize. | |||
 | Lydia Katsis is a PhD researcher at the University of Southampton, specialising in monitoring hunting and its impacts in Belize using acoustic sensors. | |||
 | Professor Alex Rogers is Professor of computer science at the University of Oxford and Team Leader of Open Acoustics, a small research group focusing on developing low cost acoustic technology. Alex develops and applies artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches within physical sensor systems to address real-world problems focusing on sustainability. | |||
 | Dr Andy Hill is an electronic engineer, working with Open Acoustics. Andy's research focuses on developing low cost acoustic hardware for environmental monitoring, including the acoustic monitors we used for this project. | |||
 | Dr Peter Prince is an algorithm and software developer for Open Acoustics. His research focuses on developing software for low cost acoustic monitoring. |
