Thank you very much everyone for your immense help on classifying all the subjects in this project! We will now analyze and share with you our exciting results soon!

The Team

Alexandra Le Reste (Researcher)

Alexandra Le Reste is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her work seeks to determine how galaxies shaped the early instants of the Universe. To do that, she observes extreme nearby galaxies similar to primordial galaxies with various telescopes across the world and in space. Her work makes use of observations across the light spectrum to get detailed maps of galaxies and disentangle the processes at play in them. She is interested in the co-evolution of galaxies and their neutral gas reservoirs, the ways galaxy mergers impact the properties of galaxies, and the Epoch of Reionization.

Kameswara Mantha (Researcher)

Kameswara is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota in Twin Cities with the Zooniverse citizen science platform team, working on developing human-computer optimized, novel deep-learning based anomaly detection frameworks. He is interested in the growth and evolution of galaxies and galaxy collisions (aka. mergers) and their role in the overall growth and development of galaxies over the Universe's history. He also specializes in developing human-computer optimized, novel deep-learning based anomaly detection frameworks and applies them to imaging data from large scale galaxy surveys.
