Etch A Cell - ImmunoExplorers

We've just added some new materials to this project - check out the Field Guide for 'An in depth example' that shows multiple cell structures in one of our images 😃 Also note, this project recently migrated onto Zooniverse’s new architecture. For details, see here.

About Etch A Cell - ImmunoExplorers

In Etch A Cell – ImmunoExplorers we need your help to study how immune cells behave in kidneys.

Kidney failure affects about 11% of the world population, and diseases caused by the immune system are the third most common cause of chronic kidney failure. To understand better what’s going wrong and causing chronic kidney failure our research team has been taking a very close look at kidney tissue using microscopes.

In this project we need you to help us spot and study immune cells in kidney images. With enough volunteer help we may be able to train computers to do this task automatically, this has huge potential to help us understand biology and study disease!

Thanks for contributing to our project!
