Finished! Looks like this project is out of data at the moment!
The image around SXP1323 had an initial 5327 sources identified by AEGEAN and 724 of those had a Signal to Noise ratio (S/N) of 20 or more.
The image around SXP1062 had an initial 5546 sources identified by AEGEAN and 705 of those had a S/N of 20 or more.
The bar graph shows the cumulative classification count month to month from the launch of the test phase in mid-2023 to the public launch in March 2024 and completion in September 2024.
After aggregation, the sources where all 5 volunteer classifiers agreed on the radio source morphology were extracted from the database. The number of radio sources with high confidence in basic radio morphology are 996 out of the 1429 (69.7%):
Extended: 376
Point: 620
Unsure: 433
A final cut was needed on the structured extended source list, as sources may have duplicate entries if one of the associated regions had a S/N ratio high enough to have been included as a subject for classification itself. After manual visual inspections, the high-confidence structured extended source list comprised 132 sources. This means that 877 sources, out of the 1429 that were classified (∼61%), show strong agreement on whether the radio source is a point source, structured extended source or a compact extended source.
