Help to uncover lost traces of World War II in the Netherlands. Join archaeologists to discover the 'Scars of War' in the landscape using new high-precision elevation maps.
Scars of WarHelp archaeologists uncover forgotten and undocumented traces of World War II on high-resolution elevation maps created using lasers mounted on aircraft (LiDAR). Many aspects of World War II military activity remain obscure, yet the structural remains (trenches, bomb craters, etc.) are silent witnesses still hidden under the forest vegetation. Join the investigation of these LiDAR elevation maps and help uncover traces from this enigmatic period of conflict.
