The Heritage Quest Luxembourg project is a cooperation between the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Leiden University and the Institut National de Recherches Archéologiques (INRA). The project is supported by the Fondation Schleich-Lentz under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg.

Maxime Brami is substitute professor in the Department of Pre- and Early Historical Archaeology of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. A Luxembourg national, he has previously worked on the prehistory of Luxembourg using ancient genomes sequenced in the Palaeogenetics Laboratory, Mainz.

Andrea Stinner has several years of professional experience in volunteer coordination. As a social worker and archaeologist, her work focuses on connecting people with human history. In her current role, she is responsible for communicating with and supporting the project's volunteers.

Ralf Lämmel is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Koblenz and his main interests are software languages, software archeology, and broadly software engineering, which also includes applications of AI in those fields. In the recent past, Ralf has also worked on AI in the software infrastructural context at Facebook (Meta). Ralf is collaborating with the team for the Heritage Quest Luxembourg platform in the context of data science and AI and ontologies.

The Original Heritage Quest Team
The Heritage Quest project started in the Netherlands, and involved a cooperation between Leiden University and Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht (for the Utrechtse Heuvelrug) and Erfgoed Gelderland (for the Veluwe). It was financed by the provinces of Utrecht and Gelderland and the National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
Dr. Quentin Bourgeois - Leiden University
Quentin Bourgeois is assistant professor in European prehistory. His main interests are funerary archaeology combined with network analysis and GIS approaches in later prehistory. He is currently a member of De Jonge Akademie.
Dr. Karsten Lambers - Leiden University
Karsten Lambers is associate professor and head of the Department of Archaeological Sciences and the Digital Archaeology research group. Karsten’s research interests in Digital Archaeology range from surveying, 3D recording, and remote sensing to modelling, spatial analysis, and digital image analysis.
Wouter Verschoof-van der Vaart MA - Leiden University
Wouter Verschoof-van der Vaart is a PhD candidate focussing on developing tools for the automated detection of archaeological objects in remotely sensed data. His research interests lie in the practical application of remote sensing techniques (such as aerial photography, geophysics and LiDAR).
Dr. Eva Kaptijn - Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht
Eva Kaptijn is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the Heritage Quest citizen science project at Erfgoed Gelderland. Her research interests centre on landscape archaeology, archaeological survey techniques and human-environment interactions.

Anton Cruysheer is heritage program manager at Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht and active in the field of heritage and innovation.
Roel Kramer - Erfgoed Gelderland
