## EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT ##

Embryonic development is a fundamental biological process and one during which an animal must put itself together, but at the same time as surviving in its environment. This research project is developing new approaches to capturing this dynamic process. The impetus is that there is an urgent need to understand the sensitivity of early life stages to our increasingly compromised natural environment. The technologies being developed here will be deployed out in marine and freshwater environments in order to monitor the sensitivity of early life stages to environmental change, but also used in the laboratory for high-throughput screening.

We have two workflows in this project that you can contribute to (1) Embryos on the Move - in this project we ask you to analyse video of embryos and tell us what you can see and count and (2) Embryo Feature ID - in this project we ask you to analyse images of embryos and annotate what you see and measure.
