All tasks for which you are certain that are not Forest, whether representing a cloud, buildings, deforestation or hydrography.

Which tasks should I check Undefined?

You should check Undefined when you are not sure if the task belongs to Forest or Non-forest.

I think I made a mistake, can I go back?

No, but don’t worry! Multiple people always see the same image, so your answer will be combined with the answers of other volunteers. After showing the image to many people, "incorrect" answers are outweighed by many correct answers.

Where did the images used in this project come from?

The images used in this project came from MODIS (https://modis.gsfc.nasa.gov/) and Landsat-8/OLI satellite (https://landsat.usgs.gov/landsat-8), obtained for free. We would like to thank the ForestWatchers project team (http://forestwatchers.net) for the MODIS images and USGS (United States Geological Survey) for the Landsat-8/OLI images, available in https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/.
For future images from other sources may be used.
