With the Wild Mont Blanc project, you are helping to improve scientific knowledge about the biology of alpine species and to understand how climate change and human activities are affecting their ecology.

About Wild Mont-Blanc

Around sixty camera traps have been installed in the Mont Blanc massif to monitor alpine animal species. Since 2024, monitoring has been enhanced by the addition of 11 camera traps in Les Bauges and 23 in the Belledonne massif. The Centre for Research on High Altitude Ecosystems (CREA Mont-Blanc) needs your help to identify the animals present in the hundreds of thousands of images collected, as well as to observe their behavioor and record other valuable information!

This project was initiated by CREA Mont-Blanc and "Communauté de Communes de la Vallée de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc".
