Data Responsibility and Security
Because conflict-related environmental information can be sensitive, WISEN balances transparency with the need to avoid causing further harm. Some data is released with delays or reduced precision to prevent information from being misused.
Public participation focuses on safe, accessible forms of analysis using satellite imagery, while more detailed datasets and assessments may only be shared with relevant researchers or organisations.
