关于 Planetary Response Network: Flood Monitoring 2026

We design our projects to minimise the chance of disturbing images, but there is some risk of distressing content. If you are in distress and need or want support, here is a list of international mental health support hotlines and international crisis support hotlines so you can get support wherever you are in the world. Participation in this project is entirely voluntary, and participants may withdraw anytime.

This project monitors wadis for flooding, to support the delivery of humanitarian aid to hard-to-reach areas of sub-Saharan Africa. The impending rainy season will likely cut off critical supply routes, as wadis (dry riverbeds) can fill up and flood roads. Therefore, it is important to know which wadis are flooded and reroute.
