Classify the race and ethnicity of human faces in public computer vision databases.
Learn moreYou will be presented with a picture each time. There may or may not be recognizable human faces in the picture. You will help first decide whether there are any human faces in it. If so, you will be then asked to circle the faces of certain ethnicities (e.g., White, Black, East Asian, South Asian, and Other).

Thank you for taking time on this task. This data will help make computer vision algorithms fairer for all human beings, regardless of race or ethnicity.
The Face Classification StudyWe are conducting algorithm audit studies across multiple platforms. A key step is to classify the faces appearing in several important datasets used to train the algorithm. We need volunteers to help assess and classify pictures (e.g., whether the picture includes any recognizable faces and what is the likely racial and ethnic classification of those faces). You may categorize as many or as few images as you please. However, if you feel yourself losing interest, or making errors, please stop for the day. Accuracy is more important than quantity.
