Welcome to Describe It! In this new Zooniverse project, The Frick Art Reference Library is asking volunteers to help make every image in our Photoarchive accessible to people who are partially sighted or living with visual impairments. Our goal is to collect alt-text descriptions for every image in our digital collections. Due to the enormous amount of images we have (over 1.2 million!), we have chosen to reach out to the Zooniverse community for help. We hope to work with a wide range of dedicated volunteers, including those who are interested in art history, museum technology, and accessibility. With every description volunteers submit, our collections grow closer to becoming fully accessible for all users.
