Our goal is to develop community-centered management guidance that betters lives of the humans and non-humans that call these landscapes home.
sunnymurphyieclThe Wolf Conservation Center Integrative Ecology & Coexistence Lab (WCC-IECL) conducts research to support the development of nonlethal, community-centered management practices for wolves and coyotes. We Cam Coexist is currently helping us learn about coyote life in the northeastern and southern United States. Using trail cameras deployed at various parks, we can estimate the density and behavior of eastern coyotes and their wild neighbors, including deer and foxes. We also conduct wildlife surveys to understand how people feel about their local coyotes. By integrating our ecology data with our surveys, we can build an approach to support positive human-wildlife relationships. Want to get involved? Join our project and get to know our local wildlife!
