What do I do if an insect has been cut off by the image border?

If you find an insect at the edge that has been split in half, please mark and identify it if you can. Otherwise, as each image is a small part of a larger image and we include a slight overlap, the insect should appear at a different position in another image and hopefully will be picked up.

What if I do not recognise a bug?

If you are unsure of any insects that you see, please refer to the field guide and see if you recognise any of the characteristics. After doing this, if you still do not recognise the insect, select the 'Other Insect' marker from the classification list.
