About Camera Ocean Plastic Labeling
The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization, developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic.
By utilizing the ocean currents to our advantage, our passive drifting systems are estimated to clean up half the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in 5 years’ time.
Imagine that every sea-going vessel in the world could act as a sensor for the quantity of marine debris it encounters. The Ocean Cleanup's vessels take continuous of the sea surface with every sea-going opportunity. This generates TeraBytes of photo datawhich can only be analyzed with automatic detection. We hope you can help us by labeling debris objects in these photos!
