    About Understanding Animal Faces

What makes a cat face different from a dog face or a chimpanzee face?

This project is about helping computers understand animal faces!

Although this is of paramount importance to the field of animal health and welfare, species identification and animal-robot interaction, developing computational tools for this purpose has received little attention by the scientific community.

Help us make an impact towards this direction by building an annotated database of animal faces which comprises hundreds of different animal species including American bulldogs, Bengal cats, Polar bears, Fallow deer, Ethiopian wolves, African leopards, and Mountain gorillas.

In the first phase of this project, we requested you to locate the face of the animal. In the second phase, we are asking you to annotate 9 landmarks on animal faces.
