Professor Ed Hawkins (MBE) is a climate scientist in the National Centre for Atmospheric Science at the University of Reading. He leads the UK Weather Rescue initiative to recover millions of lost-to-science weather observations from UK archives.
Praveen Teleti is a post-doctoral researcher at University of Reading, working with Prof. Ed Hawkins to data-rescue historical weather observations. Also interested in tropical cyclone formation, their impacts on coastal communities, and to build resilience to adapt to climate change.
Clive Wilkinson is interested in improving global reanalyses, and extending the record of extreme weather events back in time. Member of ACRE-Ocean group.
Kevin Wood is a research scientist at the University of Washington Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean & Ecosystem Studies and the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory in Seattle, specializing in polar and historical climatology. He is also a former merchant marine officer with more than 30 years of sea-going experience.
