We seek to create a future for New York City where wildlife is a familiar, understood, and indispensable part of our urban landscape.

About NYC Parks' Wildlife Unit

NYC Parks' Wildlife Unit has deployed game cameras in various parks throughout New York City's five boroughs. By understanding how species use the urban landscape, we can transition our way of thinking about cities to include green space and the wildlife that use it!

This project uses game cameras in Staten Island's Freshkills Park. The Wildlife Unit needs your help to classify images, and discover what species lives here.
