What's a workflow, and which one should I choose?

A workflow is the sequence of tasks that we are asking you to perform. We have created several workflows along with a description. The Determining the Reproductive Structure of a Liverwort takes more time to complete one classification. If you have a lot of time on your hands, we'd recommend picking one of the longer ones, however if you are on a mobile device, it is recommended to pick the Stem and Branching Patterns.

Where did all these specimens come from?

These images are liverworts underneath a microscope. They come from the vast library of specimens and samples from the Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois.

Is it problematic if I made an error?

Please don't worry about an error. Errors are part of the data treatment process, and we take into account during later data analysis that it is impossible for everyone to get it "right" every single time. Since several people will classify each picture, we will take everyone’s identifications into consideration. When the data correlates, they tend to be correct!
