We at Gondwana see this as a wonderful synergy between technology and people resulting in real data directing our conservation management activities. Our EcoCamp guests love getting involved and our management team love the results!! ~ Jono Berry

About Snapshot Gondwana

Hundreds of camera traps spread across southern Africa are providing a powerful new window into the dynamics of Africa's most elusive wildlife species. We need your help to classify all the different animals caught in millions of camera trap images. These camera images come from Gondwana Game Reserve: Gondwana lies along South Africa's southernmost tip. Due to Gondwana’s unique location it is home to numerous critically endangered and rare fauna and flora species such as the Cape Mountain Zebra, Black Rhinoceros, Black Harrier, Bontebok, Cheetah, and leopard among others. Gondwana conducts formal research and protection programs for these species to provide sound founding populations within the Western Cape and South Africa.
