Using this incredible citizens-science platform, anyone can now assist us in the classification of tens of thousands of wildlife images to help conservationists better understand, manage and ultimately protect wildlife populations. - Andrei Snyman

About Botswana Wildlife Watch

The aim of the project is to obtain reliable population estimates and distribution patterns of large carnivores and their prey in Botswana's Northern Tuli Game Reserve using remote camera traps.

Using tens of thousands of camera trap pictures we are able to analyze the spatial-temporal movement of large- and mesocarnivores in the region and determine their fine-scale habitat and resource selection.

Data collected from our camera trap surveys will also help us in our quest to identify and create predictive wildlife corridors and identify potential barriers constraining movement within designated corridors.
