Seagrass beds are one of the most threatened habitats in the world. We need your help to learn more abut the threats they face and the many benefits they give to us. Thanks to all the volunteers who are getting involved in Seagrass Explorer!
The Community Seagrass Initiative - Seagrass ExplorerThe Community Seagrass Initiative (CSI) is a citizen science project focusing on raising awareness of declining seagrass habitats in South West England.
Help the National Marine Aquarium's CSI team identify commercial fish species in the photos taken by a baited underwater camera. Alternatively, help monitor seagrass density, and presence of algae and animals in the photos taken by the volunteer CSI scuba divers.
The CSI is always going out to collect more data so we're constantly adding new images from our surveys for you to classify. So if there are no photos left on this project at the moment please check back soon.
