1. Why is there no "I do not know" identification?

We would gather a lot of "I do not know" data if there was a "I do not kno" button. It would take a lot of time to process once again all the photo with an "I do not know" label. Try your best to identify the animal. A guess is more helpful than nothing! 😃

2. I am unsure about my identification. What can I do?

Try to compare the photos of the different animal. Most of the photo are taken at night, but you can make some difference with the size. For example, a coypu back is bigger than a rat back.

3. Do I have to be an expert to help for the identification?

No, everybody can help! First time doing identification? Be sure to look at the photo of every animal before you start in order to be more efficient. The tutorial and the field guide are design to help you. Do not forget also to compare your identification with the "Ofthen confused with" section! 😃

4. The animal in the photo is not in the list. What can I do?

Did you check every animal idenfication possibilities? If you still cannot find it, select the closer identification and click on the button "Done and talk" to leave a comment about the photo!

5. Why do I see several times the same photo?

Camera traps are set up at the same place for one month. It is normal that pictures are alike!

6. If I make a mistake, can I return to the photo to correct it?

No, it is not possible, but do not worry about it! Your answer is collected with the answer of several other volunteer on the same photo. So,any misidentifications will eventually be outweighed by a larger number of correct answers! 😃

7. I observe two species in the same photo. How do I identify them?

Select in the right panel one of the two animal and click on "Identify". Then, select the other animal and click on "Identify". Verify that the blue label of the two animals are in the photo and then click on "Done"!

8. Is there an animal in every photo?

No. Camera trap trigger each time that there is a movement in front of the camera. During a windy day, you may observe several photos with no animal because of the moving grass.
