Koen Hufkens

I’m an ecosystem ecologist and I model ecosystem processes, such as vegetation growth or drought / disturbance resistance, using various (retrospective) proxy measurements in a model data fusion approach. To accomplish these research goals I borrow heavily from fields outside of ecology such as image vision processing (computer science), remote sensing and engineering. For retrospective analysis I'm interested in wood core analysis and historical data recovery.

Kim Jacobsen

I'm a bio-engineer with a background in tropical agronomy, nematology, developmental biology and marine biology. I served as an EU-project administrator for biodiversity information projects (incl. EDIT, SYNTHESYS and EU BON). In this function, among others, I organized training events, workshops, summer schools.
